The University Francisco de Vitoria Sports Center and the Carriages of the Three Kings Parade 2016, First Prize COAM 2017 ex aequo.

The Luis Moreno Mansilla Award has been granted to the Palace of Justice of La Rioja, the commemorative columns of the 30th anniversary of the reconstruction of the German Pavilion in Barcelona, and the parish in Pueblo Serena.
The COAM +10 Award has been given to the Cultural Center Escuelas Pías.
The Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) has recently announced the winners of the COAM 2017 Awards, the Luis Moreno Mansilla Award, and the COAM +10 Award, which will be presented on Thursday, October 5th, at 8:00 PM, at the COAM auditorium.
The jury, chaired by the Dean of COAM, José María Ezquiaga, and composed of architects Carlos Lahoz Palacio, Víctor José Diéguez Montes, Emilio Tuñón Álvarez, Pilar Pereda Suquet, and Andrés Cánovas Alcaraz, as well as the Deputy Director General of Architecture of the Community of Madrid, Pilar Alonso García del Busto, has awarded two First Prizes COAM 2017 ex aequo to the University Francisco de Vitoria Sports Center, designed by Alberto Campo Baeza, and to the Carriages of the Three Kings Parade 2016, by Carlos Palacios Rodríguez, Uriel Fogué Herreros, and Eva Gil Lopesino.
They have also received a COAM Award: Casa Mirasierra, by Ángela Juarranz Serrano and Javier de Andrés de Vicente; Espacio La Nube, by Raquel Ocón Ruiz, Javier Guerra Gómez, Álvaro Gomis, Hugo Cifre, Margarita Fernández, and Miguel Ángel Maure; Partial Restructuring and Conditioning of an Office Building at 7 Manuel de Falla Street, by Gabriel Allende Gil de Biedma; Re-construye La Roiba, by María Vázquez Molezún, Jesús Gallo Gutiérrez, and Pablo Olalquiaga Bescós; and the book Luxury Housing in Madrid since 1900 by Daniel Rincón de la Vega.
Regarding the Luis Moreno Mansilla Award, it has been granted to three projects: the Palace of Justice of La Rioja, by Jesús Ulargui Agurruza and Eduardo Pesquera González (Pesqueira Ulargui Arquitectos S.L.P.); the commemorative columns of the 30th anniversary of the reconstruction of the German Pavilion in Barcelona, by Luis Martínez Santa-María; and the parish in Pueblo Serena, by Belén Moneo Feduchi and Jeffrey Brock (Moneo Brock).
In addition, the COAM +10 Award has been given to the Cultural Center Escuelas Pías, by José Ignacio Linazasoro Rodríguez.
The jury has valued the exemplary nature of the proposals in their capacity to contribute to the dissemination of architectural values in society, their multidisciplinary nature, their ability to enhance the urban space or context of action, their innovative approach, and their development within the framework of good architectural practices.
